I can't imagine my
college experience without Kappa Delta! When I was going through recruitment, I never thought that I would find such an incredible group of women. I went to a very small, all-girls high school, and the majority of my 45-person senior class had been together since elementary school. Since I was used to having a close group of girls around, I knew that I wanted to go through recruitment at Clemson. In KD I found just what I was looking for: sisters that are fun, loving, and always there for me. I had no idea that one thing could mean so much to me and influence my life so positively as much as Kappa Delta has.
I know this sounds cheesy, but I have found lifelong sisters through KD. Not only will they be the ones attending my wedding, they will be the ones standing next to me as I say my vows. I lived on the KD hall for two years and those two years were some of the most fun times I've had at Clemson. With all the orange in my sister's closets, I never wore the same outfit twice to football games. My neighbor on the hall woke me up every morning for my 8AM class. My friend even helped me wipe bird poop out of my hair on the way back from class! If that isn't love then I don't know what is! The point is there is always a sister there when you need her.

The first few weeks at a big college can be stressful because it is difficult to find exactly where you belong. I never had this problem because as soon as rush started, I knew where I belonged. I was not sure if I wanted to be a part of a sorority, but when I was around Kappa De
ltas I felt that I could easily be myself. There is a wonderful diversity in Kappa Delta that made me realiz e everyone is unique in their own way and this is what makes people real. The enthusiasm for greatness is almost overwhelming, and this made it so easy for me to get involved. I have found everything in my fellow sisters. They are the ones that have brought me soup when I was sick. They will talk with me for hours when I am upset. They have dragged me out of my room when all I needed was a good time. My sisters will congratulate me on a good test grade, and sympathize with me on a bad one. They are the ones I can laugh for hours with. These are the girls that I want to tell all my secrets, all my failures, and all my good news to. These are the girls I know will always be there for me no matter what life brings. I have already found women I know will be my best friends for years to come!

As an anxious, young freshman entering Clemson, joining a sorority was something I was hesitant about. Looking back, I can honestly say that becoming a Kappa Delta was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Ka
ppa Delta has given me a chance to become involved on campus, assume leadership positions within our chapter, participate in philanthropic events at Clemson, and represent myself and my sisters in a positive way within the community and beyond. The friendships and memories I have made this year have enhanced my college experience to its highest potential, and I cherish each of my sisters for all of the support and love they have shown towards me. I knew from the moment I met the KDs during recruitment, that these women were unique, beautiful, intelligent, quirky, and down-to-earth individuals that truly care about one another. The sisters of Kappa Delta have welcomed me with open heart and have helped me become the person I am today.

Kappa Delta has really become a sisterhood of heartfelt friends and family for me. I love being involved and having a connection with sisters for a lifetime! It amazes me how many memories and moments I have already shared with my sisters. My favorite memory of becoming a sister was finding out who my Big was. The week that I had to wait and find out was insane, I tried to keep on guessing and finally was right when I got to see who she was. My big of course has become one of my closest friends who I can go to for advice and understanding! We have so much fun together you would think we were actual sisters! I also loved helping out and participating in the KD Greek Week Dance. The most exciting moment was when we got third place and was thrilled! Kappa Delta is held close to my heart and I have loved being a sister and a member and plan to continue these connections for a lifetime of memories.

When I came to Cl
emson, I wasn't sure if Greek Life was really for me. Since joining Kappa Delta, I've found my new home with over 150 sisters and friends that I know ill have for life. Kappa Delta is all about friendship, sisterhood, tradition, love, and doing good for others. My sisters would do anything for me, and I know that no matter where life after Epsilon Tau takes me, my sisters and Kappa Delta will remain a part of my life. Never in my life have I been apart of something this great, and I wouldn't trade this sisterhood for anything. Through all of life's ups and downs, I know my sisters will always strive to help me remember that which is honorable, beautiful, and highest.
